Looks like the forums were transformed into groups today. I updated Nexus' description to link to the updated pages.
I'm not really sure whether one is supposed to "join" the new groups or not. One can do so, but they lack a "Members" tab...

You're free to join (and in fact you'll need to in order to post to the help/support groups) but I chose to hide the members list, since there's probably little value to be gained from that list?

Ooh, and there are now permalinks on all group threads/responses. :)
So, who's going to write a greasemonkey script to do the 'icon reply/quote' thing?

With greasemonkey scripts, it'll feel so much more like home ;)

nice permalinks :-) Glad to see things evolving so quickly. The old forums did feel a little inconsistent with the rest of the site design.
next maybe will be some of those fun little "reply to" niceties a few have mentioned. ;-)

And maybe making navigation inside the group easier, I see a choice between "start a new conversation" and "add photos", but the difference of colours between the tabs on the right and those on the left are confusing to me. Maybe that's me, though!

The tabs on the left (Overview/Photos/Conversations/Members) are navigation tabs to take you to various parts of the photogroup.
The blue buttons on the right (Add photos/ Start a new conversation) are "action" buttons that let you actually "do" something in the group.
Does that help?

"blue" depending on your theme or the theme of the user's content you are viewing. At least they stay in the same place. I'm sure i'll love the custom CSS/theme once I take the time to craft one.

The new forums look great!
I do have a slight recommendation though, the footer blends in a little too well with the groups, maybe a line break right above it?
