Dwarf ears? Guess thats a direct translation from the name in your language? We say Stockschwammerl (Schwaemmchen is official in Gemany for the northern german speakers) to the eatable Kuehneromyces mutabilis, which means about "Spomge-on-a-Trunk". They can be confused however with a whole group of rather unpalatable or even mildly poisous other species and this here was taken in a nature protection zone where harming is unlawful and you cant really say what it is without looking below their skirts. Anyway I liked how shiny and colourful they where when nearly all was looking gray.
