Interesting picture, but why so dark?

It was rather dark and the camera was still on settings from a bright day. I adjusted it, but the later shots reflect the mood not as well and at all darkness, I did not loose much detail, so I decided to just resharpen this after shrinking and call it a realistic landscape. ;o)
