Not a really spectacular romanesque tower or a really rare dedication, but other than that the nicer church in the village with the older nave, interesting churchyard and surprise, in the end we where even allowed a glimpse inside. |

I know, America is whery different when it comes to churches considered to be really old. I remember our nephew, visiting with us back in the year we lived in Saint Louis. I mentioned to my good friend Ken who was church director at Old Cathedral, that the boy at home trained on the church organ so he insisted to have him meet the organist and play himself on the eldest organ west of the Missisippi. The teenaged lad, living not far from the Wies but not big on art history and such anyway had really to try hard not to look to underwhelmed and show what he thought of those two very proud men praising their very old church (1834 Greek Revival) with the about as old organ. But he managed at last to leave a great impression himself. :o)
