server downtime

I noticed the 23 server has been down a few times this week.
Was there an announcement notice re 23 down time, that I missed? I'd appreciate some notice next time, using as I do the site for work - communicating visuals to others.
Second point - since those several server updates, 23 just doesn't seem as fast loading. I've tried it on Safari, Firefox and Chrome, and on 2 different computers. Still slow slow slow
Anyone having the same problems as me with any of the above?

I've the same problem. Loads very slow. Especially the conversations page. That's no fun using 23.

it's driving me crazy not being able to get to anything unless I wait, wait, wait
