pictures not public although marked as public

Hello and good evening to 23hq-team!
I joined you today and uploaded several photos. But they appear neither in the Just-ins-Section nor can they be found through tags or picture-titel-search. I am afraid they are not public. But I reassured myself: i clicked them as public in my account.
But maybe I overlooked something? Can you help me please?

New users aren't publicly searchable until they have been members for some time, to combat spammers.
You could ask Steffen to change that for your account, though.
