Why do I see this sentence when trying to change group settings?

Because the group short name cannot be only numbers. :)
You need to add atleast one character a-z and maybe some special characters like - _ or so, don't know.

And ... if you're language settings are "Deutsch" it means the sentence has not been translated yet. :)
