Sorting in photogroups always seems to be in descending order (i.e. newest pictures first). Can one somehow e.g. select 'taken date - ascending'? If that's not possible yet, I would like to request that feature, thanks. :-)

Hey Robert,
You can change the sorting settings for the entire photogroup if you are the administrator of the group. Click the "Change group settings" link in the right sidebar and change the value in 'How should photos be sorted by default?'. However, I think we've made the design decision to order photos descendingly for the simple reason that we want new stuff to be listed on the first page -- not buried on the last one.

Yes, descending order is certainly a sensible default. But since there are currently no private albums (AFAIK) and therefore photogroups have to function as surrogate, descending is not always optimal.
Assuming that the ordering behaviour is not hard-coded in the site's software, I think one should rather leave that choice to the users and group admins. Just my $0.02 of course. ;-)

Okay, *that* was quick. What can I say: wow. Many thanks!
(Small remaining bug: the dropdown box at the bottom of the group page does not yet seem to reflect the changes.)
