Active links in descriptions

Hi Steffen,
sometimes links in descriptions are detected and become active.
Most of the times, they stay plain text. I have not tracked down the conditions when this happens.
Can you please make all links in comments active?
Example_ http://www.23hq.com/mprove/photo/26003182
For my own special lightbox, I strip all tags, look for links and add the anchor tags. cf. the first 3 functions at

thanks
Matthias

There's a script somewhere to detect links -- and it may be in dire need of an update. Wondering if it's the .de tld that causes it not to be detected?

I have an even bigger issue with links in descriptions.... They don't work at all. I used the "a href" format and ALL the links were purged. Tried it several times. Then, thinking maybe the links were messed up or something, I pasted the whole batch into the first comment box of my image -- lo-and-behold they all work.
So you can see it visually: http://www.23hq.com/Fizgig/photo/26527675
All the code that makes up the processing detail in the first comment box would ideally be place below the title, but none of the links would work.

All the links work for me when viewing the photo -- wondering if this is caused by you having edit rights to the comments. Can you try loading up an anonymous browser with the page and checking if the outcome is different?

The links in the comments box work, yes.... But if I put that same batch of links in the description/caption box (right under the photo) they get erased by the system entirely. I don't mean just not work, they are literally stripped away and gone. Not just links, ANY HTML code gets erased.
To show you what I mean, I copied, exactly, the code from the comment box of my image and pasted it into the caption box. You can see the difference.... And if I click to edit that caption box, I find all the HTML code gone.
Hope that makes more sense!

@steffen If I am not logged in – the link at the description is still plain text.
The top level domain does not change anything either. Neither .de nor .net nor .com make a difference.

I have the same issue with links.... They simple don't work in the "caption" box below the photo. I've resorted to putting anything with HTML code in the first comment box of my photos as a result. Ideal it isn't, but at least I can still present the information as necessary.
