in the "About" page. I have received four different spam messages in the last six hours.
Sample:
The following message has been sent to you from insanity asylum (bmwqtdgp@gmail.com) via http://www.23hq.com.
Followed by a couple of spam links. Any idea how we could stop this?

There you go, spam never stops. I have updated the contact form to require log in and I have banned the IP ranges where this spam has come from. You seem to have been hit harder by this than most -- and according the server logs only about 120 spam messages have been sent today.

Thank you, Steffen, for the swift action! They keep trying, don't they?

I actually though they'd be done at some point, but apparently not...

Under this respond form I have to fill in a Captcha. There's no such thing when I send a message via the Contact me link on the About page. Why is that?

It's because you're Plus and that we haven't seen the contact form being used for direct person-to-person spamming by Plus users. This might change in the future in which case we'll add the captcha there as well.

Actually I'm not plus.. I'm not completly sure yet if I'm going to use 23 for sure in the future. So I didn't go for a plus account yet. I don't mind if you would set a Captcha requirement for non plus members if helps all members to get rid of spam.
On a side note, I would prever a friendlier Captcha solution at least for the forum. Like a math question, or one of these: http://urlm.co/blog/2011/10/28/creative-captcha/
