Cypress Spurge / Zypressen-Wolfsmilch / Euphorbia cyparissias

With red blossoms at times it shows it's a poor little cousin of the noble and exotic Poinsettia. / Mit gelegentlich roten Blueten zeigt sie uns, sie ist wirklich das arme Baesle vom vornehmen weitgereisten Weihnachststern.

There's one I haven't run across in the wild before.... Can really see where it's common name comes from with those needle-like foliage =) The blossom color is really neat, too. Nice find and capture!

They usually come in yellow-green blossoms when he nights are mild, those red ones are more common late in the season or up in the mountains.

Thanks Sonja, I have never even a picture of this. Another great job. Thanks.

Just a common european weed, Marvin. Most people do not take pics, they just do curse it when they get aware of it by reactions to physical contact with the sap. ;o)
Whilst I am an allergic myself, I thing euphorbicae are all looking so very interesting, also the native plain ones.
