distracts from the subject of the picture. I like the other one a lot
better. This is only one opinion, of course!
It is an eye catcher - and very different from what you did else. So go on, I'm curious what is coming next.

@m73a: It's a little bit difficult with the colors. I don't have a calibrated screen and it looks different between my laptop and desktop PC. I tune the colors to fit my laptop screen, so this can be possible that they are a little bit "stylish", but a little stylish effect was my intention. You are right about you last sentence, it is different to my former work. But I try new things from time to time and sometimes I post the results ;)
Nope the images weren't inspired by Arnold Fanck, never saw anything from him. I'm just an enthusiastic hiker and climber and love the nature and the landscapes ;)
