Beautiful color variety! They sure don't make roofs like this anymore.... It would be VERY expensive. Nice find & capture =)

Oh, they still make coloured glazed tiles and sell in stores, to many old buildings under historic protection need replacements now and then, and sometimes recent builder want a roof in an odd shiny colour or custom patterns from a colour combination, to stick out where there are no comunity bylaws preventing it. Yes, it is a bit on the pricey side, you nead a lot of tiles when you choose beavertails, and a basic one has a piece price of around 80 cent in Germany. No idea about the price in italy where this roof is located, or what to do when you need a few with an odd relief pattern in each tile like these for repairs. Anyway, tile roofs are rather common in Europe, but which type is common varries regionally a lot.

Beautiful palet of colours. Did you climb the roof, Sonja?
