There are always lots of swans in the delta. They just love it where the young Rhine leaves the alps and forms a big lake. Now in winter there are even wooper visiting.
In summer the austrian gravel barges harvest the new flowing in sediment so we wont loose the shoreline in all 3 countries. They work almost continously and the mute swans are used to it and just ignore them.
