I like this very much. Often the easiest way up a slope!

In this steep stretch just above te Palued Dairy the path is sometimes indeed almost in the brook. As soon the meadow gets a little more level, it also gets rather wet, and because of errosion people are supposed to make no new footsteps but stay in the already visible barren spur. In areas with lots of soggy soil and micro-drains in the sourcelands the path is covered with loose old boards that got grits for steelbeton making nailed on top, not my favorite type of boardwalk as it is very challenging to my underwhelming vestabular sense. But sights are worth it.
