Carew Castle / Burg Carew
The three Tudor coats of arms at the balcony of the palace with explainations. Rhys ap Thomas put them up as decoration to suck up to Henry VII who gave him the castle for his last coat turning in the war of roses. A rather odd story. Anyway, Herny VIII took the castle away from the inheritance of Rhy's Grandson, and as he contested this had him beheaded. The decoration could obviously not prevent such stuff. / Die drei Tudorwappen und ihre Erklarungen am Balkon vom Palas. Die hat der Rhys ap Thomas als Deko angebracht weil der Heini #7 ihm die Burg geschenkt hat, als Dank fuer seine letzte Kehrtwende im Rosenkrieg. Ziemlich seltsame Geschichte. Der Heini #8 hat dem Rhys seinem Enkel bei Gelegenheit die Burg dann wieder weggenommen und wie er sich dagegen gewehrt hat, hat er ihn einen Kopf kuerzer gemacht. Da hat die Deko am Ende doch nix geholfen. |
