Primula sp. ... Which hybrid of it is the real question ;)

Nice find & capture!

Thanks, I suspected that actually. But I looked at redfringed yellow primulas from the usual area chain stores and they all had that short bigflowered habitus like the lower left one here:

This is more like a Primula juliae in the blossom than regular classic store Primulas. And the stores claim those come in cool shades of purple only. Also it grows taller steams than those. So I thought that is probaply not quite that.... But if you say it is a Primula it probaply is anyway.

Of course I could ask the owner under which name she bought that stuff and where she did, if I cant find it in Dehner and OBI websites products illustrations.

To me, it looks like it might be Primula 'Oak Leaf Yellow Picotee'... Now, fortunately, with this hybrid, there are only two other options ;) It was a nice find as these hybrid Primroses aren't very common nor are they as hardy, but they are pretty =)

It looks very similar and a search turned up fast a proof that Dehner sold that in germany at some point. https://forum.garten-pur.de/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=62454.0;attach=567070;image , but I'd be very astonished if Renate buys large quantity of something to decorate pots and planters with that is not hardy in early April. Nights until Saint Sofia can be really drastic up there.
