Flatiron Building

Full spectrum color, high definition photo, bracketed… ✎ The famous office building, originally called the Fuller Building, was designed by Chicago architect Daniel Burnham as a vertical Renaissance palazzo with Beaux-Arts styling. Upon completion in 1902, the steel-framed building was one of the tallest buildings in the city at 22 floors high. The name "Flatiron" derives from its resemblance to a cast-iron clothes iron. It was designated a New York City landmark in 1966, added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, and designated a National Historic Landmark in 1989. It is one of the most famous, and recognizable, buildings in NYC.
