Architectural Marvels

I like the "Ansitz Grafenhaus"better. Wonder if this is the same family and was just an attempt to keep up with city palaces in the country or other nobility that came down from the slope fortresses to reside permanently in a painted and sculpted palace at the valley bottom, next to the neat purposeful grange buildings of a peer. It is interesting of course but so different from everything else there. Most strange is that the backside facade never got ready and painted and the whole house sits there with a fine shirt and a bare arse, so to speak. That back end on its own would right befit a neo-medieval town esthetic with floorbeams sticking out of the rough stone wall as rustic decoration, but suddenly behind all the stucko and illusionist painting this looks just like someone with an ambitious project went out of money...
