![]() Old Lighting Done in a New Way
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Adorning the main entrance to the new building @ 135 East 79th St. in Manhattan, NYC, NY. High definition photo.... ✎ The classic beige-brick condominium building, designed by William Sofield, was completed in 2013. The façade features hand-carved stone, custom-pigmented hand-laid brick, hand-cast ironwork, and oversized, fully customized window. ✍ Reminiscent of old candle lighting from the 18th century.... While not unusual to see such lighting in general in Manhattan, it IS unusual on new buildings. Just caught my attention & thought it would make for a nice shot on a frigid day unsuited for shooting much of anything outdoors. |
