Don't often see odd colored eyes in this combo.... Very cool =) We had a white cat with one green eye & one blue one.

Oh, that's cool! I think there was an old wives' tale that said white cats with different coloured eyes where born deaf.

This is our cat, Boo. He's going to be 13 years old in April.

It's not really a myth.... Most white cats with odd eyes are deaf -- pure white cats with no other pigmentation anywhere on their bodies, that is. Snowball wasn't -- lucky for her because she was found by my parents as a kitten just wandering the streets in NYC. It's actually more rare to find a black cat with odd eyes (they have to have a Siamese gene for the possibility to even exist) than a white one with odd eyes to be deaf. The genetics behind it is fascinating =) Well, if you're a bit of a nerd anyway ;)

Isn't it neat -- maybe a bit creepy, too -- how the odd eyes shine diff't colors in the dark? Snowball had one green (her blue eye) and one red (her yellow) eye in the dark.... LOL!
