Waders, Divers and Waterfowl

With this species I always wonder if it comes up again or if it might get drowned by its bill... flat surface feeding like a smal vacuum cleaner is more their thing, but obviously they can't find much this way in winter. The mallards are so mean, always driving smaler dabbling ducks like teal and shoveler away from "their" swans that rip out water plants living deeper down and let part of that just float off.
