East of Friedrichshafen harbour. The background is very hazy, but this should be the Langenargen tip to the left. / Oestlich vom Friedrichshafener Hafen. Der Hintergrund ist sehr dunstig, aber hinten links sollte der Langenargener Spitz sein.

I think they where teens on a schoolyears end trip and the try of teamwork on the warm water was likely meant educational. Professional voyager-canoe travelers they where not for sure, Father Marquette and the Piasa herself would turn in their final resting place watching their tries to get anywhere.... but as a silhuette they where very much fun -- LOL
