Strangely, it wont live in the wall of the ramp into the raised barn. It propagates in my sister in law's foundation drainage like mad, , but when ever we take a lump of it and stuff it into the rockery it dies.

Thanks for the tip, but I wont buy anything for this place any longer.

Not so much for my husband is not the owner of the building any more but for the wall is simply rather full with a well gorking mature growth. Back right after the earth works I bought my pretty pasque flower, and along with it a few other showy wild form plants meant for alpine rock gardens that where not so cheap. The others did mostly not live very long. Eveything else was propagated from root parting by other households, from my yard here in Friedrichshafen or family near the site. Of that stuff a lot died too, but the other half does well and went rather large meanwhile. You know, to get white and purple rock-cress, common majoram and basket-of-gold to take over is not a big thing, You water it until it reaches a certain critical mass, then just forget about it and it becomes huge pillows. Also houseleaks have a tendency to just do their own thing once they survived the first winter in a place successfully. And this is all what we need, low to no maintainance time or replacement costs, happy bees, and a bit of a colourful look from afar to humor people using the front entrance or looking from the sidewalk.
So it is fine now as it is, but I am still slightly sad about the many individual plants that kicked the bucket. :o(
