Ummmmm..... That's kind of creepy ;) Is it a reference to the story in verse by Wilhelm Busch from back in 1865?

Max & Moritz is a comic-like and very creepy old childens book classic, but what is creepiest is that Schoenecker who adapted the drawing just wrote the ownn name below back in the 60's.

Of course Wilhelm Bush would be already in the public domain even then and so widely recognized most folks seeing this will be in the know, but he still deseves a footnote. Schoenecker is sort of known himself for his own usual style normaly different, very dynamic aquarell sport illustrations and such stuff, but never that hugely world famous.
