funny image!
(i think it would be even a bit 'better' if you photoshop-away the elbow : )
Sil: tu... tu... tu... tu...
Nice picture.
i'm not saying the elbow should be edited away for aesthetic reasons or whatever.
it's just that i, when i first saw that picture, immediately thought of a carnivorous plant eating the guy, like in super mario brothers - which i found pretty funny. and without the elbow it would look more like the poor guy is half-way inside the plant already.
(i'm not sure if anyone can relate to my sense of humour : )
again, i'm not a fan of editing myself (almost none of my pics here on 23 are edited in any way besides a little curve and saturation adjustements and maybe sharpening), but one the other hand i don't think (anymore) that it's "wrong" or "against the rules" or whatever.
gursky said that "photos are allowed to lie"..
if you decide to photoshop, make sure you do it right - or else you'll have the laughs on your side.
: )
I can sometimes photoshop a small detail out, but I like this as it is, and the elbow isn't a small detail here. I agree that the photo would look cleaner and the composition finer without the elbow, but Mick is undeniably right when he remembers it was there.
In the end it's a personal decision. If I won't photoshop his belly, why I would photoshop his elbow? .)
I love Photoshop Disasters, btw. They work as powerful cautionary tales.
it's not about a 'cleaner' look, or 'finer composition', it's just about shits and giggles! for one (or at least i) can better imagine the plant (phonebooth) is eating the guy!
ah, whatever..
: )
There, I can even see his elbow!
Peace =)
but i'm sitting here without a mouse, and no photo- but gimpshop, so forgive me..
: )
LoL!
btw, I like the elbow too, because my association is going .. . no, not to carnivorous plant, like Nepentes for example ;))) but immediately to eventual pose of this guy, speaking .... and scratching his ear, thoughtfully... :D
BTW Great conversation! :-D
