Ugly, I have a Nikon D50, but keep in mind that a good lens is at least as important as a good camera. So are the photographer's Photoshop skills .)

thank you very much for your answer paulo, the decision in favour of nikon in a kit with a good lens has been made now. and the photoshop skills, mhh, yes, i guess we´ll have to do a little more training on that.. :)
