Wauw!
It looks big... is it?
Paulo Brabo Team 23 August 26, 2008, 04:45 PM
Bigger than I'd like it to be :)

Good answer ;-)
Perhaps this is his Scandinavian cousin?;

Oh my! What did you do with it? Did you just leave it there?
Paulo Brabo Team 23 August 27, 2008, 10:40 AM
Heh, ugly, it's an old wooden house and there are many not so small crevices it could have used to enter without knocking.

Benjamim, I just left it there, because this one is quite harmless and it will surely find its own way out. I have to keep on guard against brown recluse ones, which are smaller but truly dangerous - and quite common in the region where I live in Brazil.

I really fear spiders, dangerous or not. I know, some are really faszinating hunters and so on, but since I had one in my ear, I don't want them around me. This one would have terrorized me. So my wife saves me from spiders and I have to safe her from snakes (didn't happen yet) ;-)

Jotty, the problem with fears such as these is that they are both rational and irrational, so it's particularly difficult to get rid of them. I'll be sure to move to a spider-safe house before I invite you in!

Marie, about the Scandinavian cousin, I'm sure both designs were finalized from the same general sketch!
