Yes, a bit of Star Wars here yes.

I can't identify this scary beast myself; it is 9-10 cm long and was strolling along on my kitchen floor. I took it outside (on a jar) to take this shoot.

Yay! We have a specialist in the house! I was thinking this could be a semi-deadly recluse brown spider (we have many of those in every house in our region), but this fellow was way too BIG for that.

Please don't faint yet, Stevie, that's including the legs.
We have bigger ones around, but most of them I feel able to identify. Maybe this one seemed to me particularly menacing for that reason: you fear what you don't know .)
