It is taken with a 90mm macro and a 50mm lens reversed on top of that.
depth of field is very shallow even at f11/f16, I have to find a solution to this problem.

I think the technique of focus stacking is the only way to deal with this problem! You can use CombineZM from http://hadleyweb.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/CZM/News.htm

stacking is very useful for some applications,
unfortunately focus stacking only works with static subjects.
