hey! are you familiar with Sally Mann's photography? she's my favorite photographer (well along with some 23 fellows ;)) anyway, her series from Yucatan had this effect, of course hers is film and other process, but still, love the effect!

yes, i have the Immediate Family book, she's rather controversial but i love her work! hey you should see her collection What Remains, from a battlefield in Virginia from the American Civil War, very interesting stuff too... the Yucatan series are sort of new to me too, and hey! Yucatan is in Mexico heh heh
