I will have to look that up...

I rescued two injured feral pigeons and took care of them this past spring and summer (neither could fly due to their injuries). They lived free range in my tiny apartment, which was rather insane. I loved having them here, but my word were they messy... I do have some amazing pictures of them, though.

I ended up taking them to a bird sanctuary.

Remarkable creatures, those doves. I need that book...

Once rescued, pigeons can get used to staying around. You were lucky it was only poo! infestations of pigeon mites are pretty nasty. I had a racing pigeon move in for a few days - he stayed in a box!
