It’s amazing how many of your belongings use batteries. For instance, many of us use electronics, remotes, and flashlights every day and probably go through quite a few packages of batteries a year. After your batteries run out, do you throw them away? If you’re anything like many Americans, you end up throwing them in the trash. According to the EPA, more than 3 billion batteries are thrown away each year.

Since it’s not the greatest idea to put batteries in the trash, what should you do with them? The best alternative to tossing out batteries is to recycle them. The following infographic gives you more details on how you can recycle all of your household batteries.
