Free swag in the form of branded keychains is the least of our problems, especially if we are French philosophers.
Of course, Camus never needed to buy a nice TV.
After having bought a Sony MP3 player, which forces you to use the horrible Sony version of iTunes, I´m ready to boycot them!!!
Where I come from it is 100% legal to rip a CD you own (or even borrow from a friend) and it is also illegal to install secret software that hides what it does and acts as a vector to attack security on a persons computer.
Add to this the generally stupidity regarding their Blu-Ray decisions, DRM on everything, stupid proprietary file formats for *everything* they do with your data and you have a boatload of reasons to vote with your wallet.
Not to mention that they allowed themselves to get beaten with a stick in the console wars by Microsoft (of all companies) I think they deserve to go back to consumer-electronics business school for a bit.
My recent decision to get a Nintendo DS instead of a Sony PSP was prompted more than a little by my desire not to give Sony any of my dollars, at least for a little while.
