Self-reflection. If you're actively boycotting Sony why do you have a Sony keychain?

Life is a paradox in itself.

yeah, but i guess great philoshophers have figured out that it's more optimal to minimize them, or...?

(thinking out loud here).

Camus said life is absurd so we should all kill ourselves. Then he argued that because life is absurd we should not kill ourselves.

Free swag in the form of branded keychains is the least of our problems, especially if we are French philosophers.

Of course, Camus never needed to buy a nice TV.

well, a tv is easy - that wouldn't be allowed under my pledge, http://bootstrapping.net/2005/11/20/boycott-sony/

I have a "Royal Danish Military Academy" key chain you can have....free of charge and no morale issues - will also go nice with your new moblog design ;)

Why are you boycotting SONY in the first place??

After having bought a Sony MP3 player, which forces you to use the horrible Sony version of iTunes, I´m ready to boycot them!!!

Sony has made a bunch of poor decisions recently, the most obvious was installing a rootkit onto computers when people wanted to listen to audio CDs on their computers.

Where I come from it is 100% legal to rip a CD you own (or even borrow from a friend) and it is also illegal to install secret software that hides what it does and acts as a vector to attack security on a persons computer.

Add to this the generally stupidity regarding their Blu-Ray decisions, DRM on everything, stupid proprietary file formats for *everything* they do with your data and you have a boatload of reasons to vote with your wallet.

Not to mention that they allowed themselves to get beaten with a stick in the console wars by Microsoft (of all companies) I think they deserve to go back to consumer-electronics business school for a bit.

My recent decision to get a Nintendo DS instead of a Sony PSP was prompted more than a little by my desire not to give Sony any of my dollars, at least for a little while.
