Sorry Thomas - I've been locked in to Flickr - it's my online backup for pictures and I've got about 2500 pictures at 1mb so for right now i'm sticking to it. First-mover thing I guess.

I haven't really given 23 a look before but it looks slick. Once the feauture list and community of 23 exceeds what I've got at flickr I'll reconsider :)

hmm, hopefulluu the community thing shouldn't be tied to a specific service - but to the photosphere like the blogosphere...

My experience (based mainly on my use of flickr) is that the community is tied to the service, flickr is sort of a sugar trap that attracts a lot of links but doesn't provide much links outwards to the blog/vlog/photo-sphere. Were I use a 3rd party reader to read blogs it is flickr that controls most of my picture surfing habits.

I've just been browsing 23 a bit more and it seems a lot more open-ended than other products.
