The landscape is the Makgadikgadi Pans in Botswana, a salt pan which used to be a huge lake. We stayed there overnight - during new moon, with a glorious open night sky above.
The two objects are our "facilities": in the background, a screen around hole in the ground; and in the foreground, the accompanying wash basin.
