like it. difficult situation: 500mm + 1/250 sec. not easy to get a clear and sharp picture.

Actually, I like using a telezoom for portraits. The bokeh usually come out quite nice. This one was taken on a path along a forest edge.

thanks for the info. you're right- the bokeh looks great. most people say that it's not good to use a telezoom for portraits because it makes the face look different. but honestly, I can't see anything bad. seems there's no reason to only use 50- 150mm lenses! your picture is a good example for me to use telezoomlenses as well as my 50mm lens. thanks for that!

If it was a problem with the zoom for portrait photography, we would not have had this lovely photo.
I often use even 90-300mm zoom lens for portraits and it works fine I think.
Should the photo be slightly out of focus, it also has its own lovely expression.
