Jose Carlos Soto August 23, 2022, 09:47 AM
Throughout this week, the Hedges that remain to be reviewed will appear. Seto October is the first of them and will be followed by Seto Spring and Seto Summer, the last of the series that I made before closing the story of Tinita and Valeria.

A major update has not been necessary, as in many other numbers, I have limited myself to eliminating the excess pages.

Here is part of the intro written by Analia:

After the publication of the revision of Carpa 888, we discovered, with a certain surprise, that we had ten days before the different editorial levels were called.

Jose Carlos, Paquita and Dorita had concentrated so much on their work that, almost without realizing it, they finished their work in the last Carpa of the series several days earlier than expected. I had no choice but to organize a meeting by video conference to organize those ten days, it was necessary to avoid, at any price, the dispersion that usually dominates our author at first and that, although he ends up taming it once he starts his work, generates a number of unnecessary anxieties.

It took several hours of passionate conversation to go back to the initial decision to start work on Seto according to the level and difficulty of its revision, at the time, we already reached the most reasonable possible solution, the author's own idea. Taking into account that to these ten days we could add the two weeks that would be spent in autumnal bureaucracies, it was better to concentrate on jobs that could be completed on time and assume as a lesser evil to relegate depending on what material for the Christmas break.

At the beginning of this August, the first of the numbers in the series was revised: Seto 558 or Carpa 558 in the official list. That was the first issue of Valeria's publication designed by Soto and, in those days, he still wasn't very clear about its direction. The problem of following the order of appearance lay in the extent and degree of revision that the author wanted to carry out for those copies. It was, in the first volumes, where the work would be more extensive and would require more of all of us and instead, the last ones of the series, practically, would remain intact. Only small aesthetic changes would be introduced in them.
This is the case of the copy that they enjoy on their screens: Seto octubre.

This October, it was published shortly after Carpa 888 and in it, Valeria presented to her dear readers some of the work she had done alone and with Tinita in the days that went from the marriage proposal to the wedding, her stay in Barcelona and his return to the United States.

Contrary to the ordinary issues of Carpa, Soto, in Valeria's magazine, tried to avoid the use of correspondence as a narrative resource, Seto 558, therefore, should be considered a separate case. In Seto, Valeria presents and comments on the different sections of her magazine to the general public. Only, in this number, she initiates, for the first time, the dialogue with a reader of the magazine. Although we must suppose that this reader must know the publication from the first number of it, we do not know her name and after this brief intervention, she does not appear again in the remaining editions.

To clarify this detail of the numbers of Seto, Soto, I comment that initially, this anonymous figure should be the reason for the great crisis between the couple, but that the very evolution of the magazine and its history condemned the kind reader to its silent disappearance from the entire narrative.

For Seto reviews we will avoid excessive intervention from our editors. Graphically, some small detail will be retouched, an adequate intro will be written, but we will respect the artistic personality of our Valeria and her work. The detail that Soto took care of the most when creating the character was that he had a solid, albeit fictitious, artistic career and he tried that all his work, from its beginnings, had a real coherence with his personality as a photographer.

As Valeria Cuesta Anton would say, two more photos, let's start and enjoy
