Hello,
I am currently exploring the different gestures / greeting signs by different cultures. The main ones being:
Cantonese
Indonesian
Japanese
Korean
Are you able to provide any information that may assist me in this search?
Thank you

Hi Laura,
This poster is from an exhibit at the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (www.ciid.dk).

The motions of the various greeting gestures were recorded with Nintendo Wii remote, which has a accelerometer, like in the iPhone, which records gestures and movements.

So in that way, the poster illustrates the intensity and direction of the movements involved in each gesture. I don't think that there is more to it than that.

I don't know anything else about the exhibit or various cultural greeting gestures, but I hope this helps a bit.
