why the glass globe?

This is a little snow globe we bought at the beginning of our world in vienna and since then everywhere we go we tried to make a "typical" photo. or just a funny one....

thank you ah lot for all your comments! i have to admit that right now I'm to lazy to write many comments for all the pictures I like from you (and the internet connection is very lame here), but I promise I will do it as soon I'm back home again (which will be in 2 days or so)
