Aladdin in the Newbury Corn Exchange

Panto(mime) - a very British Christmas thing. Most cultures would consider 'pantomime' to be something else. Anyway, quite an enjoyable evening although I probably don't need the experience every year...

A fun show to watch and entertaining, with maybe to many moments of rude refererences that WERE NOT over the children in the audiences head. It was not surprising though that it was disapointing - they only had two weeks rehearsals. The director 'shot himself in the foot' by wanting a 'cut off' of last years cast. despite the fact plested and brown and juliet lundholm were in it. Bring back cal mccrystal who delievered 4 years of incredible pantos. Overall it was a big flop compared to last years beauty and the beast!
