Here's a re-edited version, inspired in part by Jotty23's suggestion. I suppose I should have made them the same size .. oh well.

Anyone care to comment on the relative merits?

I like it way better. The tilt is gone, the composition is more pleasing for my eye with more road in the foreground. And the image has a better tonality.
