During this shoot was the first time I tried out my 50mm 1.8 prime, which is said to be one of the sharpest lenses on a budget there is. Seeing the detail on this image as I was going through the results, I was convinced that it was true... until I checked the EXIF and saw that I had taken this with the lowly 18-55 kit lens. Ever since that moment I have been blessing and cursing that lens, for being able to give me such detail, but with such inconsistency.
