I enjoyed your show at Whelan's on your recent tour of Ireland. I see you are coming back to Ireland in November 2007.

I am Head of the School of Social Sciences and Law at the Dublin Insitute of Technology and currently pursuing another Masters and research in Tourism Studies.

I was intrigued by the fact that your tour was and will be accompanied by American tourists visiting Ireland.

I might be interested in doing a bit of research into the economic worth to the Irish tourism sector of these tours, as well as exploring in a qualitative way the impact of these visits on perceptions of Ireland among the visitors.

Indeed, I picked up a pen pal on your recent trip and have enjoyed comparing notes.

I must confess that I am a yank who got an Irish passport under the granny rule and moved to Ireland in 1992.

But I would be interested in perhaps discussing this topic with you further, perhaps on one of my visits to the NYC area, where I still have family.
