heroine sheiks @club midway (rehab), new york. 05/25/08 - with an end like this, the beginning. the third iteration of the sheiks since the late lamented (by me) cows, and these guys just had a mad energy coursing thru the set. shannon bitched early on about a 'friend' that was supposed to give hime a pile of drugs that night but bailed, and that he was stone sober(somewhat doubtful)-put o one of the best (and craziest) shows he's done in a long time... initiallyexcited to hear he had left nyc and gone back to minneapolis to recruit this band, and then when i heard the stuff on myspace and hated, hated, hated it (didn't like that much), didn't think i'd go to the show. but he is a genius of performance, and the only way to listen to his band(s) is live, and damn glad i went
