louis 4 - just got the bad news - my fav jazz venue in nyc will go silent for at least a couple of months (maybe longer?..) due to persistent visits from the 'quality of life' police regarding excessive noise. jazz? and here? booo. well, if yr in nyc, stop by & have a drink to support 'em as they try to work things out with the village elders (and that damn ice cream truck literally underneath my window (in 33 degree weather, jeezus) as i write. that repetitive noise will continue unabated...)

maybe the elders should just get free-entrance to the bar and stop complaining!!!
who can complain about jazz being too loud? ay ay why we have to become old (and bitchy) the old is OK but... hope it keeps open! and remains open! i might even make it there :)
