dhania, it was from the observation deck on the KL tower. could (& pretty much did) watch this building not move all day long and into the night. the metal so expressive. feel he deserves a long-distance courtship with the lady chrysler-they'd make quite a trio

insky: thanks for the explanation, I'll have to give this a shot (literally) when I'm there next time.

bere: you can find much information about pictures in the tags (sometimes), insky tagged this with petronas towers before ;-). No I don't know much of Malaysia but I am trying to learn, I am learning Malay, too, for an extended vacation maybe. And the twin towers of KL are just awesome - there is a Discovery Channel documentation about these somewhere, how they were erected, really fascinating stuff.

they have their own language, malay.

some words from wikipedia (the biometric card is wild, but impossible to stop)

Malaysia is a federal constitutional elective monarchy. The federal head of state of Malaysia is the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, commonly referred to as the King of Malaysia. The Yang di-Pertuan Agong is elected to a five-year term among the nine hereditary Sultans of the Malay states; the other four states, which have titular Governors, do not participate in the selection.

Malay uses the latin alphabet and has a very interesting and simple grammar, and in contrast to Thai and Vietnamese and Chinese, which are tonal languages, Malay isn't which makes it a lot easier for foreigners to grasp the pronunciation.
