not this day, strictly walkin around enjoying the ambiance for one of the last times before the developers flatten the place:(
i have ridden it before tho, last summer, and it was all it was cracked up to be. extremely old, wooden, rickety structure on which the cars only stuck to for the moment cause they hadn't thought of something better to do. but they might. at high speed. and at any moment. a little bruised and shaken up after (& took my intestines a bit to still), & def hope to do it again soon

oh you guys are so brave ridding that thing
in mexico city we have an old one too (or at least was there 5 years ago) it is too "extremely old, wooden, rickety structure" and it creeks loud! the name of the mexican one is: La Montaña Rusa (the Russian Mountain) for us mexicans, Russians are the most exotic creatures and a land of fantasy... too bad yours gonna be flatten... & insky maybe you should skip that one last ride: we still wanna see your pictures :)

o no--mi no brave!! I can't muster the nerve to ride the Cyclone--insky's description tells me that's wise! :)) I rode this 1949 Wooden Roller Coaster in Wichita http://history.amusement-parks.com/Joyland/viewfromlift.jpg. As you can see, it's noooooo Cyclone. And that one scared the bejeezus out of me. ha

Maybe you should just go ahead and heed b's advice, mr. insky ;)

yes miss d, i hear you, i ride the Montaña Rusa ONCE in mxc and i will try to NEVER ever do it again... i am done with rollercoasters and all these dizzy things :) you & i can go for ice-cream on a fair right? while the brave people ride

I'm with you on that--my tummy doesn't do very well on the dizzy rides! So, yes, yes!! We'll go for ice cream, hold all personal items for the brave people--and of course, snap some pics of them as they ride!! :)))

oh and I thinnnnk the cyclone will not be flattened, but the damned 'developers' are ruining coney island. Coney is not meant to be clean and sparkly :((

The deed is done. I rode(in a state of abject terror). I screamed. I certainly didn't look like the happy folks up there. :) But, dammit, I survived (quite nicely I think)! Can't say I'm in love with the ride but can't say it wasn't worth it, either! And I just might have to get on it again--just to try it with my eyes open.

Oh and was a great time out at Coney. Was EXTREMELY hot, so we were in a state of heat exhaustion when we left. But, was well worth it for sure!

It's Nicolas with just a "c" :-)

I think I'll just stick with these two names. PimpDaddy being the account where I upload all sorts of stuff and the NicolasDalby one will be where I only upload the best stuff :). Not so nice to have screenshots uploaded to one's account when one is trying to showcase "serious" pictures :).

The PimpDaddy account has a tendency to get cluttered up, so all my best shots drowned in all the other pictures :)

BTW: Lately I've been thinkin alot about going to the states. Maybe a roadtrip with my girlfriend. Could be so cool to meet you all too if that happens :-D
