story behind it even better. came to my window cuz of the unmistakable sound of car hitting car. that was the car in front, which, after a short conversation with the passenger, drove off. then watched the car slam into reverse and clock this empty car. guy who had just left his apt across the street to walk his dog walked over, asked if everything was alright, again to the passenger. that's when it dawned on me - there was no driver! the 11yr old or so girl had been leaning over and "parking'. he left, and soon after the driver came back, brandishing a license plate which he stuck on the dash in front of her after apparently asking some questions. then they drove off...
