tompkins square park - free punk show - 14 psalters
were worth the pictures. sort of that bluesy country downhome gospel reminding me of the carter family filtered thru the sufjan stevens/devendra benhardt (sp?) movement, with less irony. they were giving their cd's away for donations towards their trip this fall, as a band, to live with the kurdish exiles, "because they have something to teach americans. we hope." |

oh my dear insky, i might be just mexican and have travelled way less than what i would've like to but if one culture has to learn and open their closed heads to the world is the american culture, no pun intended but americans are for much the most closest minded even if warm hearted people i have met
my theory, is that they don't teach them enough geography in primary school, as simple as that
the importance of geography :) and the stupidity that economic power allows you... america is NOT the center of the world, and on that america is the whole freaking continent usa is just ONE country among many, it should be called what officially is: united states of north america not america
just ranting... btw yes i am an 'american' citizen, it took me 31 years to accept it :( still fighting with it, in the heart am MEXICAN :)
Mercy! How will I ever catch up?! heh
